I’m an Artist, Mother, fabric designer, knitter, seamstress, visual merchandiser, freelance decorator, fabric junky, color collector and pattern/texture crazy! I love to bake.
As a graduate of the RISD Textile Dept., I spent many years in the industry creating fabric. Over the last 10 years have embraced my own work, focusing on hand knitting and sewn accessories. Creating one of a kind pieces and small collections to be worn. Working with sumptuous yarns, custom dyed wools, silk velvets and beaded trims.
In my pieces I enjoy pushing the boundaries of knitting and sewing with holes, soft textures, and embellishments.
My goals as an artist is to continue to stretch myself and my technical skills, pushing the limits and keeping the integrity of each piece.
I hope to bring my skills back to the community through teaching and sharing what I do.
I am a founding member of the Branford Artist Cooperative. The Branford Artists Cooperative (BAC) provides working studio space, children’s art classes and art exhibits to the public. BAC fosters the development of local artist and promotes arts in the community.
I admire your work!
